Fabric
and Material Polyester
Army Duck
Superior protection and very tough. Specially finished
to our specifications. Non-shrinking, non-stretching,
non-absorbent, mildew resistant 100% polyester army
duck 14 oz. per yard. Superior combination of water
repellency and abrasion resistance. Outstanding for
trailing and excellent resistance to sun's UV damage.
Lasts longer than acrylic or canvas.
100% acrylic fiber silicone coated for water repellency.
Very resistant to rot, mildew, shrinking, fading, or stiffening.
Breathable acrylic marine duck is a long lasting mooring
cover material due to its excellent resistance to damaging
UV rays of the sun. White acrylic is best for your
boat due to its much lower heat retention. However,
colored acrylic does last longer due to the dye in the
fabric. Ideally suited for well-sloped enclosures
as leaks when flat. Low abrasion resistance so not
as tough as poly for trailing. Also, we do not recommend
acrylic for trailing.

am interested in getting your Trailing / Mooring Cover.
Poly
vs Acrylic? Which material is better for this
T-M cover?
Canvas
Boatshrunk,
mildew resistant, breathable pearl grey (pale green) cotton
fiber. Today's canvas lasts 1/2 as it use to
because the mills are no longer allowed to use the same
chemicals that so effectively protected it from mildew.
Napbac
Canvas
Specially
water repellant canvas with white flannel-like inside for
bottom, rudder, daggerboard, and tiller covers. Flannel
inside acts like a polishing cloth and keeps racing surfaces
smooth and clean.
Polyester
Covers with Acrylic Skirts
Adding
an acrylic skirt to a poly cover is a great way to get the
durability of our polyester while reducing the over all
cover weight. We have been able to find materials that complement
each other extremely well.
